A conventional Zero-Point System holds the workpiece stable in two axes (X, Y), but slight movement can still occur due to manufacturing tolerances. KOSMEK’s Zero-Backlash Technology eliminates this movement completely, ensuring absolute stability in all three axes (X, Y, and Z).

By removing manufacturing tolerances with its patented Zero-Backlash mechanism, KOSMEK achieves full mechanical contact and unmatched positioning accuracy.

A precision sleeve with taper moves in all directions to achieve complete surface contact with no gap between components.

Even after 2 million cycles, the system maintains a locating repeatability of 3 µm, regardless of the number of hands per robot or wear over time. This results in an exceptionally rigid, backlash-free connection for maximum precision in robotic and high-accuracy machining applications.

Yes. Selected models are designed for clean manufacturing workflows, including semiconductor applications where consistent tool or nozzle exchange and contamination control are important.

They use a rigid coupling and locating mechanism with patented Zero-Backlash Technology to eliminate play at the interface, supporting stable positioning and consistent cycle-to-cycle performance.

Spring Lock / Air Release clamps mechanically by spring and releases with air, supporting a safety-focused concept. Air Lock / Air Release uses air for both locking and releasing for controlled actuation in automated cycles.

Choose based on payload, cycle rate, safety concept, and environment. STR is single-acting with spring lock, SWR is double-acting for general automation, SWL is for higher payloads, SVS is for clean manufacturing including semiconductor, SXR is manual for cobots, and SMR is mechanical where pneumatic supply is not preferred. See the full model overview here

It lets a robot switch end effectors quickly and repeatably, reducing changeover time and enabling one robot to run multiple tasks like handling, assembly, inspection, deburring, and dispensing.

Pneumatic tool changers and workholding systems are lightweight, fast and cost-efficient, making them ideal for high-speed robotics and automated production lines.

Yes. Selected models are engineered for cleanroom, welding and washing applications. They use sealed, corrosion-resistant materials to ensure reliability in sensitive or demanding environments such as semiconductor manufacturing.

TNE is mounted via its compact threaded body, which is screwed into the fixture plate or block and then connected to the hydraulic line; under pressure, the plunger advances to support the workpiece. It is designed for long service life, with a robust scraper and features that help prevent sticking after long machine stops. In most cases, regular checks of hydraulic fluid cleanliness and system pressure are sufficient for reliable long-term operation.

In many cases, TNE can be used as an upgrade for fixtures that currently use TNC because the main mounting dimensions are compatible. Final confirmation should be done by checking the dimensional drawing and any noted changes, especially for deeper holes and contact bolts, with your KOSMEK contact. Replacements for existing TNC models remain available while stock lasts, and the current TNC series will be phased out as inventory is used up.

The 35 MPa Work Support is being changed from model TNC□□□3 to TNE□□□0. The main body mounting dimensions remain compatible, but some details such as plunger stroke, certain diameters, thread sizes, and spring forces have been updated. When replacing TNC with TNE, you can expect improved support force and potentially better machining accuracy, but you should always check the dimensions marked in the drawing for possible interference or contact bolt compatibility. During the transition period, old and new models may be mixed in one order, and the TNC Work Support will be discontinued as inventory is depleted.

TNE is suitable for mid- and high-pressure hydraulic systems and can reach high support forces at pressures up to 35 MPa, depending on the model. Typical applications include supporting thin-walled parts, large plates, workpieces with varying heights, and components prone to vibration or elastic deformation during milling, drilling, turning, and boring.

TNE builds on the trusted TNC design but delivers about 1.5 to 2 times higher support force in a compact threaded body. It offers higher rigidity, improved environmental resistance, and is optimized for mid- and high-pressure hydraulic systems, making it a performance upgrade for demanding machining.

TNE is designed to support workpieces during machining, especially thin-walled or flexible parts that tend to vibrate, deform, or chatter. It stabilizes the workpiece from below or from the side so cutting forces do not compromise accuracy, dimensional stability, or surface quality.

A work support is a device that stabilises a workpiece during machining to prevent vibration, deflection, or chatter. KOSMEK offers different types of work supports, including pneumatic versions. The TNE series is a hydraulic work support: its plunger advances under hydraulic pressure until it contacts the workpiece, then locks in position to provide rigid support for stable and accurate machining.

Double-Acting Hydraulic models use hydraulic pressure for both clamp and unclamp movement. Single-Acting Hydraulic models typically clamp by hydraulic pressure and release by spring, depending on the series design.

Wireless Sensing status is monitored via a Wireless Clamping State Monitor (Receiver) and can transfer an output signal for machine control or PLC interlocks.

Wireless Sensing Clamp models are available in Double-Acting Hydraulic, Single-Acting Hydraulic, and High-Power Pneumatic series, depending on the clamp family and application.

KOSMEK uses its own frequency, allowing you to adjust signal strength when several machines are installed close to each other so signals do not interfere.

The signal is purely being generated by the motion of the clamp itself.

Wireless Sensing works without external power supply at the clamp, helping reduce wiring effort and simplify fixture design. A power supply is only needed for the state monitor. Read our product catalogs and choose your preferred model.

Wireless Sensing Clamps are designed for unclamp confirmation. The clamp transmits the unclamp status by radio signal to support safer interlocks and more reliable automation sequences.

KOSMEK Power Clamps achieve strong clamping forces at lower operating pressure thanks to High-Power Technology. Their compact, maintenance-free design deliver higher machining accuracy and longer service life compared to conventional hydraulic and pneumatic clamps.

Yes. Our products offers a wide range of options which are further customizable for your application. KOSMEK engineers develop products backed by more than 360 Patents. Get in contact with one of our KOSMEK experts to get into detail.

They can be used on CNC machining centers, milling machines, drilling machines, custom fixtures and many more. Zero-Backlash Technology ensures higher machining accuracy.

With our High-Power Technology, the same clamping force is achieved at 5–7 MPa instead of 20 MPa. This reduces energy use, equipment wear, and running costs.

KOSMEK’s pneumatic product range is designed for applications where an alternative to hydraulic systems is needed, quick action and simplicity are key. KOSMEK’s holding forces for pneumatic solutions are comparable with hydraulic systems. Some products are even stronger than low-pressure hydraulic.
